In 1993, Claire Douglas embarked on a campaign against the routing of the Hume Highway 'Bypass' through the centre of Albury.

During the next ten years she twice stood as an Independent for State Parliament, created a 17% swing against the safest seat in New South Wales, missing out on election by a mere 600 odd votes, and spent five years on Albury City Council, two years of which she served as Deputy Mayor.

The endless functions attended during her political career provided the impetus for Claire's life after politics. After all, there are only so many glasses of juice and mineral water that one person can enjoy.

When the dirt of politics became too much, Claire decided that she would pursue a business idea that had long been bubbling away inside her. Her new campaign: to rid the world's cocktail parties of juice and soft drink.
